Drago Endorses: Shop Gentei
Shop Gentei is a small store with big connections. They operate out of a small space at 1010 Morton St in the the Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore. They are one of the only stores in Baltimore with a coveted Nike SB account and they also get a fair amount of rare Jordans and other Nikes. They also have Japanese connections and get brands that few other American stores can. For example, they just got a bunch of stuff from Japanese streetwear brand Swagger.
We’ve known about and shopped at Gentei for a while and they are always keeping their stock fresh and new. We saw Flying Coffin there before anybody else had them. Gentei is also one of the only stores in Baltimore that throws parties for their new seasons and holidays and whatever, because of their affiliation with Baltimore Bass Connection.
Gentei is super hot right now because this month’s issue of Complex names them as one of the 27 coolest stores in America, along with heavy-hitters like the Apple store in Times Square and the Supreme flagship in NY.
Along with the current hype that the Complex article is bringing them, Gentei has grassroots support from the Baltimore skateboarding and fixed gear bike scenes. Go there and buy some stuff.
