The Drago We__ite: No BS Allowed

Drago Endorses: I Think I Love My Wife

love my wife

This new Chris Rock movie is pretty good. It has a positive, pro-black, pro-family message without being lame. It still has a lot of Chris Rock’s signature “I hate white people, but I hate stupid black people even more” even though Chris is mellowing some with age. It has a lot of New York vs. everywhere else humor. It has a lot of social class based humor.

But most importantly, it reinforced two of our deep-seated preconceived notions:

  1. Marriage and/or adulthood is going to suck.
  2. Black Women are so sexy.

You should see how hot Kerry Washington is in this movie. We wanted to lose our minds and our jobs over her, too.

Other notable actors in this movie are Omar and Bunk from The Wire who both have small parts. Omar gets beaten down by the police and screams “Thug Life! Thug Life!” the entire time, which is worth the price of admission itself.
The entire time we were watching this movie, we were very uncomfortable and wanted it to be over soon because it was just making us think way to hard about our future and our relationships and growing up and all that. But afterwards, we were pissed that a lot of our friends hadn’t seen it yet, because we really wanted to talk about some of the issues that are discussed in it. The fact that it made us think that much, while being genuinely entertaining, proves that it is a very good movie.

Also, Chris Rock dances the Laffy Taffy with two white women who are holding champagne bottles, which is hilarious.
