Drago Endorses: Getting beers that are sized proportionally to your body

Posted by Drago in Baltimore, Drinking

That way nobody feels lame if they are on beer number one when everyone else is on three, or like an alcoholic when they are on four when everyone is on two. Everybody wins!

Drago Endorses: TheThingAboutThings.com

Posted by Drago in Baltimore, Internet

Update: I’ve been zinged and I love it.

This website is hilarious, both intentionally and unintentionally.

You’ll be reading it and you will feel so many conflicting urges to appreciate it genuinely and ironically.

It’s like “Haha, this guy has a point, it is lame when emo boys wear girls’ pants*… wait, is he wearing a blue striped button-down and a hemp necklace in this picture, wtf?”

“This guy is right, people who live in Baltimore but don’t care about the Ravens should fuck off… wait, why does he have a Broncos hat on?”

“There’s a lot of content on this website, which is well organized and easily-navigable… wait, why do the pictures of these guys in their header have red eyes? Step yo’ photoshop game up, fool”

Really, our biggest problem is the pictures. Wash your faces and shave and then we’ll talk.

*The only thing that is lame about emo boys wearing girls’ pants is that there are so many brands which are making slim straight leg jeans for men that give the same silhouette but have room for a penis. Slim straight jeans are the only jeans that we will wear.

Drago Endorses: Peter Harmon on IMDB?!?!?!

Peter is on IMDB for his role in Drew Payton’s award-nominated short, The Misadventures in Drifting Laterally. He’s kind of a big deal.

Drago Endorses: Ed Bones

bones

Brake Fast Records is one of our favorite up and coming Baltimore hip hop crews. They always put on a good stage show and they have been getting to open for some great national rap acts in the Baltimore clubs. The only criticism that we have about them is, while they all obviously like and respect each other, they should not all be on the same stage at the same time. They each have their own energy and direction, and when they perform together there is a visible tension between them. Fortunately, they have been getting enough attention together that they have started performing separately.

Drago Endorses: Shop Gentei

Posted by Drago in Old News, Baltimore, Clothing

Gentei

Shop Gentei is a small store with big connections. They operate out of a small space at 1010 Morton St in the the Mt. Vernon area of Baltimore. They are one of the only stores in Baltimore with a coveted Nike SB account and they also get a fair amount of rare Jordans and other Nikes. They also have Japanese connections and get brands that few other American stores can. For example, they just got a bunch of stuff from Japanese streetwear brand Swagger.

Drago Endorses: The Polar Bear Plunge for the Special Olympics

Posted by Drago in Baltimore, Grown-Ass Man, Philanthropy

MA

We learned of this event through its connection to the radio station 98 Rock. The Polar Bear Plunge is basically thousands of people jumping into the freezing cold Chesapeake Bay in the end of January. As well as the Plunge, there are vendors and other stuff set-up all along the Sandy Point Beach.

We’ve aligned ourselves with Team Mickey, which is named for a rude, impish DJ on 98 Rock. We are looking forward to meeting Mickey, Amelia, Scott, Lick-a-lot, and the rest of the 98 Rock family. But mostly, we want to meet Steph and Josh Spiegel who are seriously the only reasons why we used to listen to the 98 Rock Morning Show last year when it was just two fat homophobic sloths talking about what they wanted to watch on TV later that night.

Drago Endorses: Drinking in Philadelphia until 2am and then being at work, on time and in Baltimore, at 7am

Philly to Baltimore

We don’t believe in letting the physical realities of space and time influence our Sunday evenings. Nor do we believe in letting what we want to do interfere with what we need to do, or vice versa. If you can’t make it through a day of work on three hours of sleep, you need to toughen up or possibly get a less strenuous job. Likewise, an adult should know how to moderate their drinking at the end of the night in order to be sober enough to get in the car and drive at quarter to five when the alarm goes off. If we learned nothing else in college, we learned to function while sleep-deprived.
